Altitude and Acclimatization

🗓 Everest Base Camp Trek – 14-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,860 m) & Trek to Phakding (2,610 m)

  • Flight Duration: ~30 minutes

  • Trek Duration: 3–4 hours

  • Highlights: Scenic mountain flight, Dudh Koshi River, suspension bridges

Day 2: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)

  • Trek Duration: 6–7 hours

  • Highlights: Crossing Hillary Bridge, entering Sagarmatha National Park, first view of Everest (weather permitting)

Day 3: Acclimatization Day at Namche Bazaar

  • Optional Hike: Everest View Hotel (3,880 m), Khumjung Village

  • Purpose: Acclimatization and exploration

  • Highlights: Sherpa Museum, panoramic Himalayan views

Day 4: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,867 m)
